It is a great joy for the Church of St. Max to walk with others in Christ and witness our members meet Jesus in the unique encounters known as sacraments. Our community is tremendously blessed by all who hunger to know Jesus more, to ever more fully experience Him, and to be transformed by Him. The sacraments are unique moments on our shared journey, a journey we live regularly together through Sunday worship and our friendships with each other.
Sacraments while essential parts of a catholics relationship with Jesus are far from the only aspects of that relationship. The lived relationship with Jesus causes us to seek Him in His sacraments. Reception of the sacraments likewise strengthens us to walk with Him daily... to have Him as Saviour and Friend and His Church as our Mother, Teacher, and community.
Those who have been touched by God's presence can't but hunger for more of Him, they therefore are willing to do whatever it takes to receive Him and walk in relationship with Him.
THE SACRAMENT PROCESS BEGINS WITH AN ALL SACRAMENTS RETREAT FOR THE PARENTS OF A CHILD IN NEED OF A SACRAMENT OR THE ADULT THEMSELVES WHO WANTS TO RECEIVE A SACRAMENT. This meeting will be held periodically throughout the year. THE NEXT OFFERING IN JANUARY 4th from 11am to 1pm. Meeting takes place in St. Martha Hall. Please enter through door 12.

"Christ instituted the sacraments of the new law. There are seven: Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Penance, the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders and Matrimony. The seven sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian’s life of faith. There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1210.)
